After a Year Break from Renovations....

It's been quite a year! Paige - 2 surgeries, 6 rounds of chemo and 3 job changes. Mark - neck surgery. Not to mention a flooded basement in the Spring... Whew.

But, we started work on the house again the past month and we were able to host Christmas Eve with an "almost" finished house.

Below are updated photos of some of the changes!

We got a new bed

Added pendant lights and a chandelier

Installed a new backsplash (floating shelves coming soon!)

Tiled the sunroom

Put stone around the basement fireplace (still need to mount the tv, paint the red brick around the fireplace and wrap the beam on the ceiling...)

Tiled the back portion of the basement floor (which flooded this Spring)

Finished the basement bathroom (guests now have their own fully functioning bath!!)

wrapped the stone on the back wall of the basement fireplace as well.

Christmas tree went in the entry this year :-)

Finally finished the fireplace wall upstairs!!!

Set the table for Christmas Eve

We're In! Alright, we've been in for awhile now...

We officially moved in over Memorial Day weekend. So, what did we do over the Summer???
Hmmmm... we hauled, painted, hammered, drilled and installed.
And to think... there's still much more to do!
Anyway, some updated photos of the progress to date...

OK, I didn't a have anything to do with these, but had to share. 

 We had 15 turkeys in our yard one morning!

Front Entrance

We painted the porch and overhang above the garage. Actually, Mark did the entire porch by himself!

Entry tile got grouted....

 In the entrance, we hung a mirror

 Installed a closet system

 Put hardware on the cabinetry

 Hung more mirrors and art... installed towel bars and toilet paper holders...

 Put shelving units in my pantry

 Guest bedroom...

The dining table is a little small for the room. Dad is thinking of building us one! We're in the planning stages for that!!

Still much to do!!! But looking back, worth all of the effort!!!
